Ministry
to Adults
Deriter Club
Senior citizens meet the second Tuesday of each month at 10:45
a.m. Interesting programs precede a fellowship luncheon. These
programs vary monthly and may involve special speakers, travel
or music. Occasionally the group takes day trips to points of
interest within easy driving distance.
Wednesday Fellowship Dinners
Dinner is from 6:00 to 6:45 p.m. followed by Bible study and
special activities for all children. A nursery is also provided.
Troy Robertson of the High Point Women's Club caters the meals.
Reservations may be called in to the church office, 884-2248,
by 10 a.m. each Monday or you may put a registration card in the offering plate on Sunday or just click here to handle your reservations online.
Fellowship Group
A group of young adults who meet once a month for dinner, fellowship
and prayer. The emphasis of this group is to encourage each other
as friends in the faith and provide daily support for daily life.
Mobile Meals
Members of First Presbyterian Church deliver meals to needy families
in High Point every Tuesday. We have been involved in this ministry
since the inception of this program in High Point. Meals are prepared
by and picked up at Montlieu Avenue Elementary School.
CARE Prayer Group
Meets on the first and third Sunday of each month to pray for
those with special concerns or needs and to offer thanks for the
many blessings received by our church members. |
