rally day
Sunday, September 11

A fun, fabulous event for all ages!! Come celebrate the close of summer and the beginning of an exciting new Sunday school year beginning at 9:40 a.m. Please note: Out of respect for the 15th anniversary of the attacks on New York and Washington, DC, we have decided this year to go back to the original name for Celebration Sunday: Rally Day!

Classes for all ages begin again with children and youth moving up to their new grades, teachers are honored, and worship will be filled with song! Lunch after church will be fun for everyone - we'll have a Bounce House, Snow-Cones, Face Painting (always popular with the kids and fun for everyone. New activities this year: Bobbing for Apples and a Cake Walk!

This is a covered dish event for EVERYBODY in the church. The delicious food and fabulous fellowship alone will be worth your while. Lunch and planned activities begin immediately following the 11:00 a.m. service. Please bring a covered dish with a little extra to share. Volunteers will collect the food under the porte cochere starting at 9:30 a.m.

Wed Night Dinner & Bible Study

Our Wednesday Dinner and Bible Study will Return September 14th.  Dinner begins at 5:45 and Bible Study starts at 6:30. This fall our study is entitled, "Bothersome Bible Parts"! We will take an honest look at the Bible with all its contradictions, and all its power. Topics will include: Why does God allow (or even cause) such violence in the Old Testament, and then seem so loving in the New Testament? How do we understand current conflicts between Israel and Palestine in light of what the Bible says about "the Promised Land"? Did Jesus really insult a woman? and, serriously, what's the deal with the book of Revelation? wed_dinner_2014

Now, we are  paying down our debt as pledge gifts are received.
The earlier that pledge gifts can be received, the less the accrued
